Lawrence J. Laslett

Clinical/Research Interests

Lawrence J. Laslett specializes in general cardiology, providing both short- and long-term cardiac care. His practice focuses on acute-care cardiac problems, (particularly coronary disease), including diagnostic catheterization, coronary angioplasty and stent placement. Laslett's research involves the effects of angiographic contrast on left ventricular function and dynamic resistance exercise on myocardial oxygen supply and demand. He is also assessing post-thrombosis coronary anatomy, potential myocardial injury from high-intensity endurance running, and the impact of serologic infarct markers on prognosis for "rule out" MI patients.
