Clinical/Research Interests

Dr. Lee is a clinical endocrinologist and molecular epidemiologist whose research aims to translate to better patient care. In endocrine clinic, she emphasizes disease prevention and, through good communication, strives to empower her patients to make individualized, optimal health decisions. Her research examines how hormonal and metabolic changes across the adult lifespan influence people's future risks of cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and osteoporosis/fractures.  She is particularly interested in sex hormones, such as estrogen and testosterone, and metabolic factors, such as thyroid function, that differ by ethnicity/race and gender.
