Craig R. Keenan, M.D.

Dr. Keenan graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at UC San Francisco. He serves as both an Associate Program Director for the categorical program and the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program Director.

Dr. Keenan is a member of the Division of General Medicine. He is the Medical Director for the Internal Medicine clinics, and actively works on developing and improving all outpatient experiences for residents. In addition to attending on the inpatient wards and in clinic, Craig is very active in mentoring residents and selecting residents for the program. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing our electronic health information system. His academic and research interests include improving patient safety and the use of information technology to improve patient care.

Craig’s personal interests include coaching his son’s soccer team, fishing, and water skiing.
