Tonya L. Fancher, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Fancher earned her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed her primary care internal medicine residency at the NYU/Bellevue Hospital. After serving for four years at Travis Air Force Base, she completed a Primary Care Outcomes Research fellowship at UC Davis in 2004.

In her role as Associate Program Director, Dr. Fancher focuses on ambulatory curriculum development and promoting resident scholarly activity. She is the Co-Director of the TEACH program. Her current funded research focuses on depression in the Southeast Asian community and the provision of mental health care in the primary care setting.

Dr. Fancher's personal interests include cycling, rowing, and gardening.
