Investing for Tomorrow's Retirement...Today!
It's your future. The University of California Retirement System (UCRS) administers three retirement savings and investment plans designed to help you achieve a future that is financially secure. Participation in at least one of these plans is mandatory and automatic for all employees. To help you understand these plans and your options, the UC Davis Health System Benefits office offers the following workshops.
UC Investing For Retirement Workshops
UC sponsors two participant-directed plans, the DC Plan and the 403(b) Plan. This two hour workshop provides an extensive overview of these plans and how they can be used to supplement retirement income. Enrolled participants will receive personalized printouts of their current plan balances and projected future balances. Topics include: contribution limits and how those limits are calculated; rules, regulations, taxes, and penalties; investment options; investment objective and strategy, risk factor, and performance history of the UC-managed funds; suggested asset allocation strategies; and other savings and investment products available. As participation in the DC Plan is currently mandatory, we encourage all employees to take this workshop.
